SECTION I – ENERGY+ MATERIAL DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION:  Blend of various petroleum derivatives

CHEMICAL FAMILY:  Aromatic and Aliphatic Type

CHEMICAL COMPOSITION:  Completely organic, 73% Aromatic hydrocarbons and 27% Ketones. 

Contains NO Heavy Metals, Organometalics, Alcohol’s or Acids;  Proprietary Formula.

SECTION II – ENERGY+ PHYSICAL DATA

SPECIFIC GRAVITY:  0.92   POUR POINT:  -68F   VISCOSITY:  0.65 Centipoise @ 68F

ASH CONTENT:  Nil   APPEARANCE: Blue liquid   ODOR:  Camphor   pH:  7.2 to 7.5

RUST PREVENTION:  ASTM D665, No Rusting  MOISTURE CONTENT:  Less than 0.2%

STABILITY OF TREATED FUEL:  No residue after treatment for 24 hours at 122F.

Complete solubility in Nos. 2, 4, 5, 6 fuel oils, kerosene and paraffin based fuels.

SECTION IV – FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD DATA                                     Non-Flammable

FLASH POINT:  Closed cup 150F (65C)

SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES:  EXTINGUISHING MEDIA:  Dry Chemicals, CO2 Foam

UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS:  None known

SECTIN V – HEALTH HAZARD DATA                                                                   Non-Hazardous

EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE TO VAPOR:  Minor skin and eye irritation, dizziness.

Over exposure is unlikely to occur under normal conditions of use.

 

EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES:

SKIN:  Wash with soap and water.   EYES:  Rinse with large amounts of water and call Physician.

INHALATION:  Remove to air.   INGESTION:  Call Physician, do NOT induce vomiting.

SECTION III – REACTIVITY DATA

Stable material.  Avoid sparks, flame or oxidizing agents.  Keep container closed.  No known hazardous decomposition products.  Hazardous polymerization will not occur.

 

ENERGY+ contains none of the 99 Substances and Materials considered Toxic Air Contaminants set forth in the APPENDIX TO AIR MANAGEMENT REGULATION VI, Control of Emissions of Toxic Air Contaminants defined by the Environmental Protection Agency.

SECTION VI – SPILL OR LEAKAGE PROCEDURES

IN CASE MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED:  Remove sources of ignition (sparks or flame), Ventilate area, Flush with water.

WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD:  Controlled Burning, Controlled Evaporation

SECTION VIII – SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION

Respiratory protection is unnecessary if used with adequate ventilation.

VENTILATION:  Local exhaust recommended for confined area.

PROTECTIVE GLOVES:  Rubber, though unnecessary in normal use and short exposure.

SECTION IX – SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

Store in cool place, away from spark or open flame.

OTHER PRECAUTIONS: Avoid prolong skin or inhalation contact.
