Experience using ENERGY+ for treating fuel in a small Ro Ro vessel.
Dear Sir:
Norman in Florida and the undersigned discussed by telephone his reason and experience using ENERGY+ on a small Ro Ro vessel which is owned or managed by Norman and operated between Florida and Columbia.
Vessel had apparently received fuel of approximately 180 cent. Poise (400 redwood) which was below specifications and contained high ash, vanadium, sodium and a considerable amount of water. (I did not inquire whether it was fresh or salt.)
The foregoing fuel caused sludging within the fuel oil purifier reducing purifier output and causing vessel to reduce speed. The water in the fuel was not settling out. Norman decided to try ENERGY+ and ordered on (1) 55 gallon drum. After receiving drum of ENERGY+, the material was added to each fuel tank and mixed by circulating from one tank to another. The result was satisfactory and sludging was obviated. Samples of fuel for analysis was taken before and after using ENERGY+ FOR comparison.
Norman stated that he is not making a full endorsement of ENERGY+ but it did perform what he required at that time.
