Comments based on sample analysis:
1) The fuel as analyzed shows a very high sediment factor, not normally found in #2 oils, this could be one of the causes of the line blocking that has been experienced.
2) The cloud point of –6 degrees also could be one of the causes, if the ambient temperature is near this figure wax crystallization can occur in this fuel.
3) Tests were carried out using the ENERGY+ Oil Extender in the recommended dosage that gave the following results:
Sediment content reduced to 0.002% indicating the ENERGY+ Oil Extender had effectively taken the sediment into suspension.
