Back in November we purchased a drum of “ENERGY+” fuel oil additive. It was added to our system and has been in use since then. Today we opened our boiler for inspection and cleaning, and the results were amazing. Last year the carbon build-up was approximately 1/8” thick on the inside of the fire wall tubes and the combustion chamber was black with carbon. The tubes are now perfectly clean and the combustion chamber is white. Even the Boiler Inspector from an outside contractor was amazed. He commented that next year we would not have to clean the tubes, just inspect the boiler.

We also had a tank that had fuel oil stored for several years (the tank was not in use). We transferred as much oil as we could and were left with approximately 15 inches of thick sludge. We added ENERGY+, let it set for approximately a week, circulated it, tested it, and found it completely dispersed.

Based on what we have seen, we can anticipate the following benefits:

A) A cost savings of approximately 10% on fuel costs

B) Elimination of pressure flushing boiler tubes

C) Better combustion efficiency

D) Elimination of having to clean our fuel oil tanks

E) Reduced stack temperatures and stack emissions

F) Reduced down time

We will continue to use “ENERGY+” in our system because of the many benefits Devro has derived from this material. “ENERGY+” has done the job, as you have described in your original presentation. Thank you.
