Maritime ENERGY+ is a performance enhancer – liquid fuel catalyst used with the main propulsion fuel on Maritime Ships, Marine Ships and ships of the Navy and Coast Guard.  This same ENERGY+ product is also used on the same ship in fuel-burning auxiliaries such as Generators, Evaporators and Incinerators.  In each application, Maritime ENERGY+ provides the following four benefits:

 

1.      Fuel Extension

There is a significant fuel extension with Maritime ENERGY+.  During combustion, all the fuel is consumed.  The monetary savings resulting from less fuel required more than offsets the cost of the ENERGY+.  Most importantly, additional savings are seen that bring about a significant reduction in the overall fuel bill.

2.      Improved performance

Maritime ENERGY+ upgrades fuel and greatly improves its combustion characteristics to where the performance of fuel-burning equipment is likewise improved.  Performance improvements show up as quieter running and smoother operating equipment, performing at higher efficiencies.  The ENERGY+-enhanced fuel is now of a more superior grade than is originally provided by the fuel supplier.  The API and specific gravity are upgraded measurably.  When running with ENERGY+, the equipment runs like it is new, or exceeds the original equipment operating specifications.

 

3.      Cleaner Burning

ENERGY+ treated fuels burn much cleaner.  This is due to the occurrence of greatly improved combustion.  Ships see dramatic improvements where heavy black stack discharges have cleared-up after adding Maritime ENERGY+ to the ship’s fuel.  This shows the capability of ENERGY+ to cause complete burning of the fuel, also resulting in the Fuel Extension and Improved Performance described above.  The long-range effect of much cleaner burning is the absence of the buildup of carbon deposits resulting in savings from reduced maintenance costs, and increased longevity of equipment.

 

4.      Improved Stored Fuel

Most bad/degraded fuels in storage are transformed into good burning fuels.  ENERGY+ dissolves all microbial growth (algae) present in the fuel and is far superior to all other algaecides.  Further formation of algae is inhibited.  Any sludge or sediment present in the tank is dissolved.  The viscosity and pour point of the fuel is lowered and fuel transfer is made easier.

ENERGY+ represents a breakthrough in conditioning of maritime fuel.  This product is a truly effective multi-purpose fuel additive.  It is added directly to the ship’s fuel tanks where it starts upgrading the quality of all the stored fuel.  The major benefit of ENERGY+ is to substantially reduce fuel consumption resulting in savings well beyond its cost.

ENERGY+ added directly into the tanks at the time of bunkering.  The dosage proportions are 1 gallon of ENERGY+ per 1,000 gallons of Bunker C.  The initial actions of ENERGY+ are to stabilize fuel and raise its quality by dropping out excess water through de-emulsification.  With motor vessels, centrifuging is greatly improved so the yield of usable fuel is dramatically increased.  In all cases, ENERGY+ cleans the fuel and virtually eliminates sludge and high sediment.

The main benefit with continued use of ENERGY+ is a cost-effective reduction in fuel consumption.  With its greatly improved combustion, using ENERGY+ results in surprisingly clean operating systems.  Right from the start, ENERGY+ will give your fleet savings in fuel dollars.  With continued use, the amount of savings will increase, and additional savings will accrue from reduced maintenance, operating and parts costs.

Maritime Diesel Engines  -  Combustion is greatly improved because of the upgraded fuel and the finer atomization made possible by the action of ENERGY+.  The net effect is a smoother running engine with increased output power resulting in a favorably lowered specific fuel consumption (lbs. per BHP – hour).  The long-range benefit of using ENERGY+ is a major reduction in costly maintenance downtime.  Accumulated carbon and ash deposits which cause liner wear, plugged injectors, blown cylinder heads and worn valve seats are less likely to occur.  The heat transfer surfaces of exhaust gas boilers are kept soot free and black Smokey exhaust gasses are greatly reduced.

Marine Boilers  -  Here, visible evidence of more complete combustion is shown by the appearance of a clean active flame, compact and yellow-white in color.  No new soot or slag will deposit on furnace tubes and walls.  The catalytic effect of ENERGY+ also causes a gradual reduction of virtually all-existing soot deposits.  This results in cleaner fireside tubewalls and furnace surfaces, allowing for an optimized heat transfer which is both economical and fuel saving.  The net result is an increase in the SPR (Steam Production Ratio or pounds of steam produced per gallon of oil fired).  Emergency shutdowns of marine boilers due to plugged fireside tubes and surfaces will no longer occur.

Treatment and prevention of microbial growth 

When used in marine fuels, diesel fuel and fuel oils, ENERGY+ has been found to eliminate existing algae growth in fuel tanks and prevent the reformation of new algae.

There is a worldwide problem of epidemic proportions related to algae growth in fuels causing high-pressure readings due to blockages of fuel lines and filters.  This has caused blowouts of marine, industrial and commercial boilers and stoppages of engines in ships, boats and diesel vehicles.

During actual trials, ENERGY+ was found to relieve the high fuel pressure caused by algae blockages of fuel filters.

Other algaecides cause the modified algae to turn into solid clumps and block the fuel flow.  Whereas, ENERGY+’S special formulations breaks-up the existing algae and allow it to intermix with the fuel.  Centrifuges do not separate it from the fuel.  Instead, it is consumed along with the fuel.

The continuous use of ENERGY+ in the fuel system will prevent algae from forming again and eliminate other costly algae-related problems such as fuel tank and line clean-outs cr replacements, and damage to equipment.

An equally beneficial feature of using ENERGY+ is the de-emulsification of any water present in the fuel.  Here, the water drops to the bottom of the tank and is voided with the fuel during combustion.  The absence of water prevents algae growth.
